Kraiken.ai allows you to nest prompt snippets inside one another. A top-level snippet can hold global rules (like a brand persona or technical guidelines), while nested sub-snippets contain specific tasks (like writing code or drafting copy). This structure lets you build modular workflows instead of maintaining massive, repetitive text files.

How does context inheritance actually work?

When you select and inject a nested prompt snippet, Kraiken.ai automatically gathers all the instructions from its parent snippets. It builds a single, cohesive prompt—placing the high-level parent context first, followed by the specific sub-snippet instructions—and inserts it directly into your AI chat box. If you update a parent snippet, every nested snippet below it immediately uses the updated context.

Does Kraiken.ai store my prompt data on external servers?

No. Your prompts never leave your local machine. All prompt snippets are stored securely in your browser using chrome.storage.local. The extension does not transmit your data to any external servers, keeping your workflows completely private and secure.

What are variables and how do I use them?

Variables are dynamic placeholders you can add to your templates using {variable_name} syntax. When you trigger the prompt, Kraiken.ai displays a quick-fill form to let you type in the custom details on the fly. The extension then replaces the placeholders and injects the finished prompt. Use {{literal}} to output literal curly braces.

Can I export and backup my prompt snippets?

Yes. The settings panel includes an Import/Export feature. You can export your entire library of nested prompt snippets as a clean JSON file for backups or to share with others. When importing, you can choose to append the new snippets to your existing library or overwrite your current setup entirely.

Which AI platforms are supported for one-click injection?

Kraiken.ai natively supports ChatGPT (chatgpt.com), Claude (claude.ai), and Gemini (gemini.google.com). It also features a fallback detection system that can identify input text areas on other web pages so you can still insert your snippets easily.
